The genre of drill took an interesting turn in 2023. Artists and labels worked hard to continue to accelerate the sound with many dropping projects and singles throughout the year,

1. Deli - Ice Spice

Ice Spice is another breakout star of 2023. With cosigns from rap's biggest stars like Drake and Nicki Minaj, it was clear early on that Ice was destined for greatness. The Bronx superstar had the game on lock all year after dropping her debut project “Like…?”  The fifth single from the EP became a fan favorite quickly and is increasing daily in views and streams.

2. Bent - 41 (Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter, Tata)

The Brooklyn drill group 41 has had a phenomenal 2023. Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter & Tata have put the drill genre to new heights. Connecting with everyone from Fivio Foreign to Travis Scott, the trio has proven that there is still much room for NY drill music to grow and prosper. Jay Hound and Jay 5ive, members of the emerging NY drill group SweepersENT, are artists to watch in 2024. Jay Hound's song "Neaky" has over 3 million streams on Spotify, and fans enjoy watching his journey. We do too so we’re excited to see.
